Its called Black Moon and it is VERY DEEP FLAT (MATTE) BLACK! There are some white veins throughout, but that’s what shows off that the material is natural & unique, right? The images below are darker because they were wet down with water. They will get a deeper black, when oiled with mineral oil.
This slab is un-oiled and has a temporary wooden template, to give you an idea of perception. You don’t see as many veins, therefore it definitely is less busy. |

About the partners:
What is Built Green® ? Built Green is an environmentally-friendly, non-profit, residential building program of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties, developed in partnership with King County, Snohomish County, and other agencies in Washington state to set standards of excellence that can make a significant impact on housing, health and the environment. Built Green homes are designed to provide homeowners with comfortable, durable, environmentally friendly homes that are cost-effective to own and operate. These resource-efficient homes are crafted to exceed building codes and provide homeowners with years of healthy, quality living, while protecting our families and the precious Northwest environment. The program provides consumers with easy-to-understand rating systems, which quantify environmentally friendly building practices for remodeling and new home construction, communities and multifamily development units. Who is Built Green®? Built Green is a membership organization comprised of builders, developers, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, lenders, and real estate agents working together to improve quality of life in King and Snohomish Counties. The Built Green program accomplishes this by using a menu of options that provide quality homes which, compared to standard homes, are more cost-effective to own and operate, healthier, safer, and more protective of our beautiful Pacific Northwest environment. Look for the Built Green Logo. The Built Green logo is assurance that your builder has certified that your new home contains selected Built Green features and meets the criteria on the Built Green checklist.
