Our slabs are made of GOLD!
Fools gold, that is :-) There are many areas where Iron Pyrite crystals have made a home in soapstone slabs, throughout history. Here are a few images of some specs in Brazilian Soapstone.

New shipment of Soapstone just arrived!
Its called Black Moon and it is VERY DEEP FLAT (MATTE) BLACK! There are some white veins throughout, but that’s what shows off that the material is natural & unique, right? The images below are darker because they were wet down with water. They will get a deeper black, when oiled with mineral oil.

| This slab is un-oiled and has a temporary wooden template, to give you an idea of perception. You don’t see as many veins, therefore it definitely is less busy. |
NEW BLACK SOAPSTONE SHIPMENT
These slabs have quite a bit more veining than the past black moon slabs we’ve seen. So if you like nice thin white veins in your deep black soapstone. This is it! Hurry down..

About the Tour
The Northwest Green Home Tour is an annual free educational event, open to the public, coproduced by the Northwest EcoBuilding Guild and Built Green that
showcases local, sustainable and green new homes, remodels, and energy
retrofits in the greater Seattle area. The 2014 tour includes 35 sites
and 12 Sustainability Stops, sponsored by members of the Northwest
EcoBuilding Guild and Built Green.

Ticketless event
The tour is completely free, and no tickets are required. Visitors are required to sign a liability waiver at their
first stop on the tour.
Getting around
Many tour goers enjoy biking or walking between the sites, and carpooling is strongly encouraged.

North Seattle walking tour
In partnership with Feet First, a walking tour will begin at 11am at Stop 7,
Hale’s Ales, 4301 Leary Way NW. The 5-mile, moderately paced walk will
take visitors through the Fremont, Phinney, and Greenwood neighborhoods,
connecting six NW Green Home Tour sites. More info.
