German Green Stone

German Green Stone
German Green stone is a Jurassic Limestone quarried in the country of Germany. It is a Jurassic stone with a rich stone history that is so elegantly captured through a geologic lens so to speak, as it’s a stone with alot of embedded deep sea green fossils, a compressed beach of sorts. Many times I’ve actually seen little fossilized bit’s of charcoalized wood, organic matter & calcerous sea shell’s. The color of this stone is especially known for its softened, velvet sea blue- green appearance and its understated beauty, which is likely caused by it’s mineral content of Lime, quartz & Glauconite, derived from the Greek Glaucos meaning ‘gleaming’ or ‘silvery’ It is a dense, finely-grained material that is most commonly used as a vanity top, shower surround or fireplace facade.

Sicilia Grey, Dark Marble 16″ x 24″

Sicilia Grey Dark, Marble Tile
Today we feature our Sicilia Grey Marble an Egyptian material that is available in a large tile format (16″ x 24″) The surface finish is available in a Honed satin finish as well as a Leathered finish. This stone has a very soft chalkboard like appearance to it perhaps invoking memories of grade school. Its natural attributes are predominately a dark yet muted charcoal grey color with hazy revelations of brown & mauves. Truly, a one of a kind stone. As most materials in this color category tend to have alot more fossil concentrations & variation, whereas this batch of our large format tiles have a really nice consistent monotone to them. This is a dense, non-porous material, similiar in stone structure to the Jura stones a Jurassic material from Germany.

This stone would be ideal as interior wall cladding, Fireplace surround & hearth, Shower surround, tub surround, tub deck, flooring, stair treads & risers etc..

*We also have a sister stone (Sicilia Grey, Light) available in 12″ Tiles, Chair rail & pencil trim as well as 2cm thick slab material. Bianco Latino Granite

Bianco Latino Granite
A Brazilian Granite with a moon -like luminance that shimmers with white opal, subtle mauve’s, soft khakis and creamy whites. Our Bianco Latino Granite is available in a 3cm thickness (Nominal 1 1/4″) The slab size we have in stock are rather large, coming in at a lovely (123″ x73″) so the overall usability of this material is a definite positive.
